Graphene-based hall-effect sensors for power electronics

Highlights 
  • Paragraf is an early-stage business spun out of the University of Cambridge.
  • It is focused on the design, development, manufacture and testing of graphene-based devices for commercial exploitation.
  • Graphene Hall sensors have significantly better all-round properties, which are together expected to reduce control system complexity and improve motor efficiency.
  • Graphene is not only a highly stable material that can operate across a very wide temperature range, but it also has a very high operating bandwidth.
  • TDAP project will enable Paragraf to develop a high-bandwidth current sensor device.

    Paragraf is realising the mass production of next generation, graphene-based electronics. The electronic graphene devices are manufactured using standard semiconductor tools and a novel method that eliminates the transfer process, which is currently the major hurdle to graphene commercialisation.
